A MAN has been charged in connection with a fraud in which an elderly man was tricked into giving his bank account details.

Sean Lee, 34, of Leander Road, Croydon, was charged with four counts of committing fraud by false representation in Harlow on April 29, 2015. These relate to the use of stolen bank cards at Lloyds TSB, Argos branches in Edinburgh Way and the Harvey Centre, and Game store in the Harvey Centre.

More than £7,000 was spent on the cards, which belonged to an 87-year-old man from Harlow. He has sadly died since the incident took place.

Lee faces a further 34 similar charges connected to offences in other areas of the country and is currently on remand to appear before Croydon Crown Court on April 29.
