HARLOW Town FC will host Cray Wanderers in the Ryman League Division One North playoff semi-final clash this evening at the Harlow Arena (27th April).
Both sides had seasons to be proud of in the league, finishing third and fourth, with only a 2-0 win for Thurrock away at Aveley preventing Hawks from sealing second place on the final day.
The winner of the match will go through to Sunday’s playoff final against either Thurrock or AFC Hornchurch, who meet each other in the other semi-final.
Cray Wanderers have had the better of Harlow Town when the sides have met in the league this season with Cray beating Hawks 3-1 in their home game, and the game at Harlow finishing a 1-1 draw.
Hawks can take encouragement going into the match from their impressive recent home form which has seen them achieve five wins and a loss from their six games at Harlow Arena.
Cray have the same record away, five wins and a loss, meaning this is set up a very interesting battle.
Hawks manager Danny Chapman will hope both Joe Benjamin and Junior Dadson are fit to play after both players picked up slight injuries in the final day win against Sudbury.
A large crowd is expected given the magnitude of the match, with supporters being advised to set off well in advance to make sure they arrive on time.
Adult tickets will cost £10, concessions £7 and under-16 tickets are priced at only £1.
Car parking spaces will be available but only limited given the large turnout of supporters that are expected.
For more information on tickets and parking at the ground, supporters are advised to visit the club website www.harlowtownfootballclub.co.uk.
Kick-off for the match will be at 7:45pm with turnstiles opening at 6pm.
