HARLOW MP, Robert Halfon has expressed his delight as Princess Alexandra bisses have delayed a decision on parking for the disabled.

Mr Halfon said: “After many representations from Harlow residents and discussions with Princess Alexandra Hospital’s Chief Executive Phil Morley regarding parking fees, it is good news that the hospital has agreed to delay the decision for a year and use the time to consult with residents who are disabled and need to park at the hospital.

I have discussed this issue on a number of occasions with the hospital and I know this will provide comfort to patients and disabled visitors and remove anxiety that many would have had if the charges had been introduced this time.

I meet regularly with the hospital and I am always pleased to raise any concerns that residents may have.

I am hugely grateful to Phil Morley and his team for the postponement and for listening to representations from me and local residents.

It is another example of why the staff at Princess Alexandra Hospital really are at the heart of our community in Harlow.”
