SUMNERS and Kingsmoor Councillors Nick Churchill, Clive Souter and Russell Perrin have all expressed their disgust at the mindless vandalism involved in the total destruction of the Youth Shelter installed next to the paddling pool in Sumners.

The Youth Shelter was one of 5 items that the local Councillors had installed in the ward as part of the ward improvement programme.

Cllr Churchill stated: I was made aware of the incident yesterday when officers emailed me a photo of the damage and told me that the remains of the shelter had been removed. From what we have managed to find out the Council was first made aware of this on the 18th May. It is assumed that the Youth Shelter was destroyed between 14th and 15th May.
