Robert Halfon MP:
“I am backing the Royal British Legion and Poppyscotland’s Count Them In Campaign to support the adding of new questions in the next census. This will mean that local Government will be able to plan properly and to make sure our armed forces, and especially veterans, are looked after.
I am very pleased to support this campaign and work alongside with my local Royal British Legion in Harlow to make sure that our armed forces and veterans get the support they need.”
More information available about the size of the Armed Forces community, where they live and their needs, makes it easier for statutory, private and voluntary providers to fulfill their Armed Forces Covenant commitments.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly and the Government is working with businesses, local authorities, charities, and community organisations to support the forces through services, policy and projects.
