ESSEX Air Ambulance is calling on its Harlow supporters to get behind its bid to be named as Sainsbury’s Charity of the Year.
Staff at the supermarket’s Stanway, Colchester and Tofts Walk, Braintree stores selected the life-saving Charity as one of three that could benefit from its fundraising efforts throughout 2016/17 – should the public vote go their way.
Sabi Blyth, Essex Fundraising Manager, said: “Every year Sainsbury’s works with its customers and colleagues to support a local cause at the heart of the local community – and we’re delighted to be in the running this year. Every vote really does count and we’re calling on all our supporters to get online or go in store and get voting and help keep our air ambulances flying.”
Essex Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a Charity providing a free life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the critically ill and injured of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. The Charity relies upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives.
Voting is quick and easy – visit www.sainsburyslocalcharity.co.uk before Sunday 26th June, 2016 or visit the Sainsbury’s stores in Stanway and Braintree to vote in person.
