HARLOW MP Robert Halfon has welcomed the appointment of Theresa May as the prime minister after a rapid few days in British politics.
The Deputy Chair of the Conservative Party spoke to the BBC outside the House of Commons to reflect on Mrs May’s elevation.
Mr Halfon described Mrs May as “Good for Britain. A woman with huge strength of character, a compassionate Conservative and a unifier who will safeguard our security.”
The Harlow MP may well find out tomorrow if he retains his position as she elects her own team.
