MosaicPop SchoolARE you thinking about what to do with the kids for the holidays? This summer at Rhodes we have summer schools and craft workshops to get involved in.
Bedazzle Theatre Arts Summer School is back again this summer recording their pop CD and performing all their hits on stage. Summer school is open to all students this summer.

Running from the 25th – 29th July, the cost for the whole week is £100. If you would like to book a space, call Lisa on 07903 192 094.
Blast! and Boom! are also back again this year with their summer schools.
Blast! provides an unmissable week of theatrical creativity for wannabe performers and technicians aged 11 to 18. Over the course of 7 days participants work with a team of professionals to create a full-scale theatre production that is performed just once on the final evening of the project.

Maybe your child sees themselves as an actor, singer, dancer or musician; maybe they’ve always fancied being a Lighting Designer or Sound Engineer.  Whatever they are interested in, spend 7 days at Rhodes with a group of like-minded people and we promise you a week of unforgettable creative chaos! Blast! runs from the 14th – 20th August and costs £145.

Boom! is a great opportunity for primary aged kids to finish their summer holidays with five days of creativity and fun, building up to a chance to wow their parents and friends in a performance on the last day. There will be a team of theatre professionals to help and assist the process. They’ll take great care of your little ones and teach them all the skills they’ll need to blow their audience away!

It’s a great place to learn new things; make new friends and build skills and confidence in a safe and creative environment! It makes no difference if your child is a shrinking violet or a prima donna, they’ll have a great time and express themselves freely at Boom!
Boom! runs from the 22nd to the 26th August and costs £110.

In addition to the summer schools, the Bishop’s Stortford Museum will be running craft activities to keep the kids entertained. On the 2nd and 3rd of August, there will be a Peg Dolls workshop where the children can try their hand at this traditional craft pastime and make a peg doll of their own to take away!
On the 9th and 10th August there will be the Paper Mosaics workshop where they can find out about this fascinating ancient craft and help us create a mosaic to hang on our wall. They will also get to make their own mosaic to take home!

All craft activities run between 10am to 3pm, last for around 20 – 30 minutes and cost £2 to take part. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

To find out more about any of these events, please look on the Rhodes website at www.rhodesbishopsstortford.org.uk or call the Box Office on 01279 710 200.
