THE Herts and Essex Community Farm have been invited to take part in this month’s Friday Late event at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London on Friday, August 26.
This month’s theme is ‘Grow your own’.
Farm organiser Elliot Wollen and volunteer Scarlet Hellard will be giving a talk on starting an urban farm and the impact it can have on the local community.
There will also be the opportunity to try some of the produce, grown at the farm based in Foldcroft, as the chefs at the V&A café will be serving it up on the night.
Volunteer Scarlet Hellard said:
“We are really excited to be able to take part in this event celebrating urban farming and the grow your own movement.”
“As well as sharing experiences and practical tips on the evening, the V&A cafe will be serving various produce grown at both our project in Harlow and similar projects in the local area.”
