IT HAS, again, been a great year for Burnt Mill Academy and with many a great story to tell.

The facts and stats are these: Burnt Mill Academy has 83% of students achieving A* – C in English & Maths.

81% of students achieved 5 A* – C grades, including English & Maths

66% of students have at least 1 A* or A grade.

But there are many human interest stories, which we will tell over theAmy Richardson Exam next few days.

Top achiever Amy Richardson is on track to fulfil her dream of being a child therapist.

The 16-year-old, of Harlow, picked up three A* grades, six A grades and one B in this summer’s GCSE exams and is heading to Leventhorpe School to study A-levels in psychology, biology, chemistry and maths.

She said: “I am really pleased and happy with my results. I was hoping I would get these grades.

“I want to go into therapy, working with children. I just like helping people.”
Proud mum Marianne said: “Amy is really hard-working and has put in a lot of extra time to achieve these results.”
