Fine and sensible words Jon. But we need to get community policing in our small shopping centres and town centre to stop this type of thing before it starts. Gangs gather in these centres, and proper community policing would go someway to dealing with the problem before situations like this occur. I've seen shop assistants insulted, items thrown, footballs kicked at windows, dangerous cycling, and I've had two incidents myself. One where I was threatened with a knife whilst sitting in my car, and once by a gang of youths for telling one not to shout abuse at a shop assistant for refusing to serve them red bull! We want results not words from our Police service!
