Harlow Museum & Walled Gardens, Muskham Road, Harlow, Essex, CM20 2LF
Visitors will be given a guided tour of the wonderful 16th Century Walled Gardens, which has seen a loving makeover during the last couple of years. Our Walled Gardens are also ideal for a family picnic if you want to make a day of it! We will be offering a special talk about the history of the Museum, from its early days as the stables to Mark Hall Manor House, with earlier links to the Norman Invasion and the heady days when Queen Elizabeth came to stay on a number of occasions. There will also be a chance to catch a glimpse of some of our rarely seen treasures in the collection behind the scenes. And to round off the day, some traditional cream scones and jam might go down well in our small cafe!
