ANY regulars to Harlow town centre will have noticed the extensive construction work underway at The Harvey Centre – and the end is finally in sight. Addington Capital, in partnership with the shopping centre owners, would like to announce the opening of a brand new Cineworld cinema is set for December this year.
The cinema forms part of a new development named ‘The Terrace’ and will be joined by a number of new restaurants including Tinseltown American Diner. Kung Fu The Real China Oriental Buffet opened at the venue earlier this year and has enjoyed a busy first few months, which shows the demand for an evening offer in Harlow. These additions will extend the town centre’s evening leisure offering significantly and provide a host of entertainment options for a variety of occasions.
There are still catering units available at the centre. Any restaurant chains/local restauranteurs interested in the units should contact the following people for more information:
· Fleurets, Graham Campbell , 020 7280 4700

In addition to the restaurants at The Terrace, The Harvey Centre can also announce the opening of Xercise4Less shortly, which is a brand new gym with membership options starting at just £9.99 per month. Inside the gym there will be over 400 pieces of equipment and ladies only areas, plus 200 free classes a month which will be run by expert instructors.
‘Gyms Kitchen’ is also due to open soon, serving up a guilt-free menu of tasty protein-rich meals, so customers can get the most out of their fitness plans. Plus a familiar face about the town is expanding; Papa Cappuccino will open its third restaurant shortly. Creams Café and Gelato has already opened and taken on a new 10 year lease, to cater for those of us tempted by the sweeter things in life.
Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre says, “This is a really exciting time for Harlow. We’ve always had a limited night time leisure offer in the town but when the cinema opens this will transform dramatically. Harlow will become a bustling town where people want to come after work with friends and family to eat and drink in a variety of family friendly restaurants before checking out the latest blockbuster at Cineworld.”
