Bush Fair councillors look forward to re-opening of Nicholls Field pavilion

Politics / Fri 30th Sep 2016 at 11:01am

Ian and MarkTHERE has been a lot of excitement over the plans to invest over £750,000 in a new pavilion on Nicholls Field.

But that seems to be a lot of money for a couple of changing rooms.

So, we went down to the Nicholls Field, just off the Clocktower round, to find out more about the plans.

We spoke to Labour councillors, Ian Beckett and Mark Ingall

If it means that the field will be full of sport being played then it is exciting times for the area as there will also be rugby over on Puffers Farm as well as this already busy fields at Passmores Academy.

How interesting that this is now all coming together since it was highlighted as an issue by the third Bush Fair Councillor - UKIP's Dan Long. It does seem like a massive amount of money. So since Cllr. Beckett says this is happening as result of good financial management by the Labour Council (!) (That would be a first!) - can we be assured this is being done within current budgets and will not lead to yet ANOTHER increase in Council Tax!
