Harry PotterTHE Harvey Centre is set to hold its most spellbinding Halloween extravaganza yet. The Harvey Centre’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will take place on Saturday 29th October between 11am and 4pm and will be free to all.

All of the events will all be Harry Potter themed in celebration of Halloween and will predominantly take place on the ground floor of the centre. Look-a-likes from the iconic franchise – Harry Potter and Ron Weasley – will be at the event to stop and surprise shoppers. Plus there will be mystical Professor Snape’s potions classes running for children to attend and learn the art of potion making. Professor McGonagall’s Broomstick Training Classes will also be on offer where children can learn everything about witchy broomsticks.

A HoneyDukes wizarding sweet shop will be meandering through the centre’s malls giving out free sweets to children so they can stock up ahead of the trick or treat frenzy on Monday. Children can also get their faces painted by two spectacular sorcerers on hand to transform the little ones into their favourite creepy characters. In addition, 3 Darths will be selling Harry Potter themed jewellery on the mall for customers to purchase and Marque Models will also be displaying their Halloween themed board games for customers to play.

A wizardry magician will be on hand to shock and surprise the kids with his amazing tricks. The Harvey Centre’s loveable mascot Harvey the Hippo will also be making a special appearance and will be dressed in his favourite Halloween outfit.

Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre says, “The excitement and interest in Halloween seems to get bigger in the UK every year. People in Harlow are particularly fond of the event and we have taken notice of this and ensured we put on an event that is really interactive and unique. Children adore Harry Potter so it seemed only fitting that we get inspiration for our activities from these iconic books.”
