The M11 in Essex is closed northbound between J4 (A406) and J6 (M25) and southbound between J6 and J5 (Waltham Abbey) due to a serious collision. Essex Police are leading at the scene of the incident.

A diversion is available for traffic approaching on the A406 intending to use the M11 northbound which should use the A406 westbound to the junction with the A104 (Waterworks interchange) and follow the solid diamond symbol on local signs joining the A104 northbound to the Wake Arms roundabout and then take the A121 westbound to join the M25 clockwise at J26. Follow the M25 to J27 to join the M11 northbound.

A diversion is also available for traffic approaching on the M11 southbound which should exit to the M25 anti-clockwise at J6 amd follow the solid circle symbol on local signs via the M25 anti-clockwise to J26, A121 eastbound to the Wake Arms roundabout and then take the A104 southbound to join the A406 in either direction at the Waterworks interchange.
