On 1st February HTS Group, the new contractor for Harlow Council, officially opened for business. The day also marked the launch of their first Charity Partnership with St Clare Hospice.

St Clare Hospice’s Corporate Partnerships Manager, Amy Jacobs, said: “We are delighted that HTS Group has chosen us as their inaugural Charity Partner and look forward to working closely with them during our mutually beneficial partnership. We are excited to watch HTS Group grow and become a household name in the Harlow community.”

Mrs Jacobs continued: “HTS Group has already shown their commitment to our partnership with a generous donation of just under £1,000. Three of HTS Group’s employees, Sue Grosvenor, Gaynor Watson and Kim Mehew, have also been dedicated fundraisers for the charity for a number of years. Last year they cycled 100 miles for St Clare Hospice in the Ride 100 event in London. We look forward to working with Sue, Gaynor, Kim and the rest of HTS Group’s employees over the coming months – raising vital funds for Harlow’s favourite charity!”

Commenting on their decision to partner with St Clare Hospice, HTS Group Managing Director, John Phillips, said: “St Clare Hospice is such a well-loved, household name in our community and we couldn’t think of a worthier cause to support as a new company in Harlow. We will be committed to raising much-needed resources for our local hospice, helping to ensure their fantastic care, which is offered free of charge to our local community, is able to continue to grow.”

Mr Phillips said: “HTS Group will support our employees to take part in various fundraising activities – helping to boost staff morale and in turn benefiting our business aims. Our company aims to be a leading light in the Harlow community, just like St Clare. We wanted to ensure we supported a charity that wholly aligns with our values, and so the perfect choice was St Clare.”

John Phillips has also agreed to be a member of the new St Clare Hospice Business Steering Group. There will be quarterly meetings to help St Clare drive their corporate partnership strategy in 2017 and beyond.
