“WHAT was it like in Afghanistan?” asked the interviewer?

“Well being mortared twice a week wasn’t fun!” replied Esther.

It would be fair to say, that Esther Mills is made of what they call “The Right Stuff”. Even on the day of this interview, she was suffering from a bug but was still determined to run a half-marathon on Sunday!

From Northern Ireland, Esther met her husband in Afghanistan before returning and settling down in Church Langley.

So, we asked Esther to tell us a little more abut why she came here and why she has stayed.
