Race Night

THE mayor of Epping, Cllr Les Burrows, and Harlow Council Vice Chair, Cllr Sue Livings, were amongst those who enjoyed a night at the races at a charity event in aid of St Clare Hospice.

More than 120 people had a flutter at the annual charity race night organised by St Clare volunteer Goolmohr Cantel.

The race night event, held at Canons Brook Golf Club in Harlow on Saturday 29 April, saw guests gleefully bid on their favourite horses whilst enjoying a delicious supper and a raffle.

The race night event has raised in excess of £2,500 for the Hastingwood-based Hospice.

St Clare Community Fundraising Lead, Dani De’ath, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Goolmohr for all her hard work in making her race night event such a success and raising an amazing sum for the Hospice. It was lovely to see so many people there on the night having fun and raising vital funds for St Clare.”
