I emailed my concerns over this matter and with the same suggestions to Robt Halfon and Mr Durcan some 2 or 3 years ago over the traffic that would be going to the Poundland depot and suggested a weight limit and routing via the 414 and Elisabeth way and did not get a reply from either. When Tesco were at Flex Meadow one of the stipulations of the company was that all of there hgv's use the 414 route and for all i know may have been part of the O licence conditions so it is about time somebody spoke up about this as it is not only the traffic problems but the damage being done to the road itself, perhaps Mr Carter should look into the road consruction of both the 414/Elisabeth way compared to Southern Way. Mr Durcan would not want to rock the boat when a new company is coming to Harlow by imposing caveats on the way they operate so smiles all round eh? You do not have to be a rocket scientist to realise that the m11 or the Pinnacles are on the wrong side of the town which harks back to the planning of the north obital road which morphed into the m25,take a look at the routing of the north orbital and you see it would have made sense to link up with the western side of town.
