OWEN Lambert (11) was Harlow Judo Club’s sole representative who made the long but successful trip to Weston-super-Mare to compete at the West of England Age Band Open.

Owen won all of his fights consisting of 2 great Ippon throws, one win by penalty to see him into the finals and a win by a hold down which enabled him to clinch the Gold medal. This is one of the last competitions where he will compete as a Minor, as the next level for him will be in the Pre-Cadets section which is from age 12 to 14, where the competitors and standard of competition is much tougher.

Harlow Judo Club caters for those with special needs and has a Coach specifically for this area. Please contact the Club for more details. They are based in Foldcroft, Harlow, CM20 1SE.

For training times, please visit www.harlowjudoclub.com or contact Gill Ellis on [email protected] or 07976 955905 for further information.
