News / Tue 29th Aug 2017 at 10:32am

Arriva Bus Changes

THE number 5, which connects Great Parndon and Sumners Farm with the town will cease to run.

A replacement service from Trusty Bus will run only during the off-peak period from Mondays to Saturdays.

Several evening routes will be amended and the 1B, 3A and 6A numbers will be discontinued.

An Arriva spokesman said the changes follow Essex County Council’s awarding of contracts.

Other changes include:

The evening 1B service, which connects the town centre with Staple Tye and Katherines, will be incorporated into a new service 1, which puts together the daytime and evening routes.

Latton Bush – Bus Station service 6A will also no longer run and the route will be covered by service 4.

The 418B will change hands to Arriva from TrustyBus on Sundays. TrustyBus will continue to operate the service from Monday to Saturday.
