Charles Henry Skingle: 1885-1918
The 1891 census recorded Charles residing in Bury Road with his parents and siblings Martha, William, Florence and Thomas.
His father was working as a postman.
Charles married Winifred Kezia Hopkins in Kuala Lumpur in the Federal Malay States on April 29th, 1911.
The couple had three children: Florence, Harry and Joseph.
Private Charles Henry Skingle, 68904, enlisted in Aldershot in The Royal Army Medical Corps aged 30.
Charles died of typhus on January 30th 1918 aged 33 and is buried in The Gaza War Cemetery, Israel.
