AN APPEAL by Harlow Foodbank
APRIL 2018 foodbank referrals are again seeing a significant increase compared to the same period last year. The foodbank has fed 328 (209 adults & 119 children) people in April which is a 32% increase compared to April 2017.

This is something we all need to get behind, to help those less fortunate than we are. It'll likely be us one day, the way things are going. The fact that we even need food banks in this, a supposedly modern country, is a cause for extreme concern. The heartless Tory Party have their apologists of course, like when Esther McVey said she felt good that people were using food banks because it apparently meant that people were living within their means. This is typical of the callous attitude of this government towards the poor. If you think they speak for you with that logic, then the best of luck to you. But it's not in my name.
