Harlow Council act quickly to get rid of fly-tipped “asbestos”

HARLOW Council acted quickly to remove fly-tipping that may have been full of asbestos.
The dump had been tipped at the entrance to Harlow Town Cricket Club on Ash Tree Field on Tuesday morning.
It had been left on a day that several school cricket teams were coming down to compete.
But once the club tweeted it out, Harlow Council contacted them and pledged to remove it.
This is the benefit of HTS and the bold decision to bring Harlow's maintenance back in house, having a service more responsive to residents and able to react quickly to events such as this. Some things are too important to be left to the private sector.
Sorry JFQ but it was a specialist private contractor that collected the waste NOT HTS.
