YOURHARLOW has just passed 500,000 page views since January 1st, 2018.

We launched on July 1st, 2013, through a grant from the Carnegie Trust ttps://www.carnegieuktrust.org.uk

For the first few years, we were making steady progress and to be honest, YH was very much the sister site to our older on-line newspaper, www.yourthurrock.com (launched Sept 1st, 2008). YourThurrock has, for a number of years, got around 3 million page views a year.

But a year ago, we were aware, that there was a need and a demand to up our game in Harlow. So, we committed to publishing between 60 and 70 stories a week, reflecting all aspects of life in a town, we live in and work in.

It seems to be paying dividends.

In 2016, our site got 503,000 page views for the whole year.
Between January 1st, 2017 and May 24th, 2017 we gained 193,000 page views.

Between January 1st and May 24th, 2018, we have just sailed through 509,000 page views. We are well ahead of our schedule to break the million page views for the whole of 2018.

It goes to show that if you write stories that reflect all aspects of life in Harlow, then people will read them, they are interested.

We are also the only paper that turns up to community events, council meetings, theatre shows. We can do crime, we take no pride in the fact that we were the first to report on stories such as the bouncy castle tragedy, The Stow killing etc but that is and always will be a small part of our site.

We are a very small team but we would like to thank the 80,000 people that help us produce the news.
