FIRE Crews were called to reports of a barge on fire.

On arrival firefighters reported that that barge was 100% alight and close to sinking.

Despite difficult access, crews worked with partners to access the barge and tackle the fire.

At 8.10pm firefighters confirmed that the fire was out and the barge had sunk.

An investigation will take place to determine the cause of the fire.
