HARLOW Islamic Centre hosted an Eid Festival at the weekend.
Hundreds flocked to the event where families and friends enjoyed great food, great company in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.
Local Labour and Conservative councillors also attended.
Well done to all concerned.
This was a great event, showcasing the diversity and difference of cultures that we have in Harlow and what makes the town a great place to live. We felt very welcomed by the staff and patrons of the Islamic Centre, who were always ready to talk and to have conversations with us about the importance of centres and open days like this. Representatives for other religions were there too, proving that those that have faith and those that have none have more in common than those seeking to divide us would have you believe. Already looking forward to the next one.
