ESSEX Firefighters were called to a fire at a scrap yard on Foster Street, just outside Harlow.

The Control Room received dozens of 999 calls reporting the fire as lots of smoke could be seen from the M11.

When fire crews arrived they reported the fire involved a number of scrap cars, cylinders and a disel tank.

Foster Street runs from Potter Street to Magdalen Laver as well as down to Hobbs Cross in Old Harlow.
