Job losses as British Heart Foundation shop in Town Centre set to close

THE British Heart Foundation shop in the Harlow Town Centre is set to close with a number of jobs losses.

The large shop has been on Terminus Street for a number off years but it is now set to close in August.

Area Manager for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Craig Fraser said:

“I can confirm that after almost ten years of business the Harlow BHF shop will be closing in August.

We did not take this decision lightly, as the shop team and volunteers at the Harlow shop worked so hard to keep the store going. The last few years has seen a huge reduction in both customer spend and footfall and the BHF couldn’t see this improving.

We would like to thank our wonderful staff, volunteers, customers and donors for all their amazing support over the last decade.

We would urge the Harlow community to still bear us in mind if you are having a clear-out in the next few weeks. The BHF is always after good quality second-hand items to help raise vital funds for their life-saving heart research. Our shops in the surrounding area would be more than happy to receive any unwanted clothing, accessories, shoes, as well as books, music, films and bric-a-brac.

Donating to our shops couldn’t be easier with our free collections service – just get in touch with one of the shops if you would like to arrange one.”
