The Burger Priest Offers Organic and Ethically Sourced Produce to the People of Harlow

THE Burger Priest has been offering ethically sourced and organic produce to the people of Harlow since its opening in December 2017. Based inside The Terrace, which is The Harvey Centre’s first floor dining area, the restaurant is uniquely styled as a church. Diners can sit on church pews to eat their meals and can choose their food from hymn board menus. It took two years to develop the menu and a lot of time and effort was taken to source the very best produce which is ethical and organic.

The Burger Priest’s burgers are created with 100% Aberdeen Angus Beef sourced from only three farms in the UK. The meat is totally steroid free and contains no artificial preservatives. They also go above and beyond to ensure they understand the origin of every single meat delivery and that it is fully traceable. Their meat is also never frozen.

The Burger Priest is proud to support British dairy farmers and purchases all ice-cream used in the restaurant from Marshfield Farm, which is run by an English dairy farmer who decided to branch out and use his surplus milk to supplement his declining income. They have a ‘cow to cone in 24 hours’ ethos which means you can enjoy a scoop of ice cream 24 hours after the cow was milked – it’s that fresh! In fact the ice-cream is 100% organic and contains no artificial colours. All milkshakes sold within the restaurant also contain organic milk.

The reviews from diners at The Burger Priest speak for themselves, including:

“Best Burgers: Took the family for a meal and loved it, the chicken bacon and BBQ is AMAZING and the family had a variety of burgers and cleared the trays so nice, friendly and welcoming staff, great music. The place to go in Harlow.” Nicola H Harlow, United Kingdom

“First impression: Great burgers, really amazing service would definitely recommend and will return soon!” Emma C

“Highly Recommend: I was recommended by one of my friends to try the Burgers in The Burger Priest, so, my partner and I decided to try their food. Our experience was amazing as all the employees were friendly, happy and very welcoming and the food was top notch. I had a peri-peri burger with some Holy Grail fries + cookies cream milkshake and my partner had bacon mushrooms and chilli burger with spicy fries + raspberry milkshakes! Delicious, fresh food of great quality and excellent hospitality. Very good value for money!!!” Ackriti K

In addition, the restaurant caters for a growing demand for vegan and gluten free dishes. Their vegan patty burgers are made in house, and include a vegan bread bun, and are a firm favourite with customers. The restaurant has also recently agreed to only use disposable paper drinks straws – further testament to their ambitions to adopt totally sustainable practices and to help protect the environment.

Currently from Monday to Friday, between 12pm and 5pm, customers can enjoy a £5 lunch deal, where you can get a cheeseburger, vegetarian burger or a classic American dog with fries and coleslaw, with an option to upgrade for sweet potato fries.

Keith Fox from The Burger Priest said, “It has been great to work with The Harvey Centre to bring this niche iconic brand to Harlow – we are thrilled with the initial response. The people of Harlow are really excited about our menu, with our original combinations, exceptional flavours and the quirky surroundings from our base at The Terrace!”

Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre said, “It’s been a truly exciting period for The Harvey Centre. There was a lot of excitement and anticipation ahead of the opening of The Burger Priest and they haven’t disappointed – offering incredibly tasty food that is ethically sourced and organic. The Terrace now boasts restaurants including The Burger Priest, Sticky Sisters, Burger King, Kung Fu The Real China Oriental Buffet, Subway, and a Cineworld Cinema. There is something for all tastes, and with parking adjacent to The Terrace it couldn’t be easier for customers to visit.”
