HUNDREDS of car enthusiasts gathered down near Edinburgh Way in Harlow.
In what appeared to be a highly organised event, there were dozens of car, motorcycles in the area close to McDonalds and Halfords.
A large number of onlookers gathered as well.
It appeared to be quite an organised event as stallholders were doing brisk business.
A number of police cars were parked up in the Our Lady of Fatima car park and ambulance was on hand nearby.
The police helicopter was also circling overhead.
A police spokesperson said: “We were aware of plans for an unauthorised car meet to be held at the Oaks Retail Park in Edinburgh Way, Harlow, on Friday, August 31.
Officers attended to monitor the situation. No arrests were made in relation to the car meet. The helicopter was present due to an unrelated incident.
This was not good news for Residents in the Mark Hall North area, who now have this problem at least once a week. The base lines from the DJ are so loud that our houses shake, and we have to turn up our TVs. If they want to have their fun, can't they meet in non residential areas!!!
