The Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust invites you to hear their achievements and future plans at their annual general meeting

The Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust (PAHT) would like to invite you to attend the Trust’s annual general meeting (AGM).

During the meeting, there will be a look back at the Trust’s work over the past year, as well as a look ahead to next year.

It will be an opportunity to find out about big achievements and improvements in services for patients, as well as ambitious plans for the Trust’s future. Key headlines include priority areas such as initiatives in meeting the needs of an ageing population and progressing the Trust’s plans for a new hospital.

PAHT is pleased to invite local people, patients and staff, as well as representatives of civic, healthcare and partner organisations to the AGM at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Hamstel Road, Harlow CM20 1QX. It will take place on Tuesday 25 September from 1pm to 2pm, with a light lunch at 12.30pm. There will also be the opportunity to view a special display of the Trust’s innovative patient improvement projects.

As part of the event the Trust will showcase the huge range of work it has undertaken during the year and, marking the NHS’s 70th birthday, will feature more than 50 projects in digital and poster displays – evidence that the Trust’s message: ‘#we’ve got what it takes’ will lead to the Trust’s goal of becoming an outstanding hospital. On the day, specialist clinicians and support staff will be on hand to explain their work, ranging from research and medical education to pathology and frontline clinical staff.

Chief Executive Lance McCarthy said: “A year after we launched our new Trust objectives to transform and modernise service provision at the last AGM, we have a very positive story to tell. We have made substantial investment in service improvement while meeting our financial targets, and will continue in our commitment to provide the best healthcare for the people of west Essex and Hertfordshire. I extend a very warm invitation to staff, patients and all members of our wider community to take this opportunity to come and find out about your hospital.”

There will also be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions at the end of the meeting.
