AS the holiday season approaches you may be looking to organise an accessible and unique Christmas celebration for your friends and family, carers, community group or disability support group. Award-winning charity CanalAbility are offering something a little different, accessible Christmas Cruises on-board adapted canal boats.
From as little as £12.50 per head based on a group of 12, you can enjoy a unique Christmas celebration on-board one of three cosy centrally heated canal boats. Crew are provided and steer you through the sparkling winter landscape of the River Stort, while you prepare your own festive meal, or just put your feet up and watch the world sail by in comfort.
Each boat is fully equipped with ramps and lifts to enable access via wheelchair and for people with impaired mobility. The boats also include wet rooms, fully accessible toilets, hoists and fully equipped galleys to allow you to prepare your own festive meals.
CanalAbility are an award-winning charity, based in Harlow, on the Herts Essex border, dedicated to providing the facilities for disabled people and people with special needs to enjoy boating on the river.
