Eileen and Pauline “Brave the Shave” for MacMillans cancer fight
Charity / Thu 1st Nov 2018 pm30 01:33pm
ON THURSDAY, Eileen Moore and her daughter Pauline took part in Macmillans Brave the Shave at Tiaras Hair Salon based at The Stow.
Eileen has been personally affected by cancer having lost her Dad, brother and sister to the disease and Pauline’s mother-in-law has been affected too.
Pauline was inspired to Brave the Shave by her friend who works as a nurse at St. Clare’s hospice and Pauline admires how she does such a wonderful job in difficult circumstances, then is able to carry on her normal life.
While Eileen and Pauline were having their heads shaved, Eileen’s other daughter Maureen was out and about at The Stow collecting for this great cause.
Both ladies approached the challenge in good humour, laughing and joking about how cold they’re going to feel but reveling in the idea that they wouldn’t need to colour, cut or look after their hair in the near future.
At the time of writing, the ladies confirmed that they had raised approximately £800 and would like to thank Tina and her staff at Tiaras who shaved and styled the ladies’ hair, free of charge.
