Education: Secondary / Wed 28th Nov 2018 at 05:58am

ON Friday November 16th, Passmores Academy competed in the regional final of Raytheon’s 2018 Quadcopter Challenge. Under the expert guidance of STEM ambassadors, four Year 9 students (Tony, Scott, Joshua and Cameron) had spent September and October building and practicing to fly their quadcopters in preparation for the competition.

Team Passmores competed against a variety of schools across Essex to determine who would progress to the National final in Manchester in December. When the judge’s marks from the presentation and obstacle course were combined, Passmores secured a top ten finish. All students involved were a credit to themselves and the school and represented Passmores with confidence, respect and maturity.
