Harlow hospital invites community to join in carol event
WARM up your vocal cords, Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is bringing festive spirit to the centre of Harlow.
Join local NHS staff in rousing Christmas carols and festive cheer as your local hospital welcomes patients past and present, families, carers and residents to its annual carol service. Everyone is invited to the event on Tuesday 18 December.
Organised in conjunction with the hospital’s chaplains and local community groups, the service will be held at St Paul’s Church, College Square, Harlow, CM20 1LP. It will take place from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, followed by a glass of mulled wine and delicious mince pie kindly donated by Asda, Cozens, Iceland and Tesco in Harlow town centre.
The evening brings together the hospital and local community as we sing carols and listen to readings and bidding prayers by local people and members of the trust’s executive team. No need to book, just come along with friends and family to start your Christmas celebrations.
Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust (PAHT) chaplain, Rev Christian Okeke said: “Christmas is the perfect time for the hospital as a focal point of the community, to bring together people and communities. Not only will there be your favourite carols, but there will also be an opportunity to enjoy a convivial treat in the church hall afterwards. We welcome everyone, whatever your belief, to join in this uplifting experience at the start of the Christmas period.”
