Regional Final Place for Singer/Songwriter Elie Rees

ON Saturday 12th January 2019, local singer/songwriter Elie Rees will take to the stage in one of four Undiscovered 2019 Regional Finals.

The event will take place at The Two Brewers in Chelmsford where each performer will have at least 15 minutes to perform. The contestants will be marked out of 10 by three independent judges, based on Performance, Originality, Songwriting and Professionalism.

The audience will also be asked to nominate their two favourite acts, with additional points being awarded and added to their score.

The winner will be the act with the most overall points and will be offered a place at the Grand Final on Friday 22nd February at The Cramphorn Theatre in Chelmsford. There will also be two wild card slots up for grabs chosen from the all the runners up.

Commenting on the opportunity, Elie said: “I’ve been gigging solo in and around Essex for a few years now and I’m really happy to be a part of this.  It’s an opportunity to meet some other local musicians and promoters and it’s nice to be noticed as well.”

Each year the Undiscovered team (part of the Essex Music Network) organise this live music contest which is split into two categories, Solo Acts and Bands. There are prizes to be won, but more importantly, it’s an opportunity for artists to showcase themselves to a network of music promoters.
