Harlow man faces trial over making indecent images of children

A HARLOW man is set to stand trial over allegation that he made indecent photographs of children as well as a number of other offences.

Gavin Joyce, aged 35, of Parsonage Leys, Harlow has been charged with the following.

On 06/12/2019 at Harlow made indecent photographs, namely 47 X category A indecent videos of a child.

On 06/12/2019 at Harlow made indecent photographs, namely 23 x category B indecent videos on AC/1 of a child, of a child.

On 06/12/2019 at Harlow made indecent photographs, namely 4 x category C (2x images and 2 x videos) on AC/1 of a child, of a child.

On 06/12/2019 at Harlow, without reasonable excuse, did something, namely in possession of a mobile phone which contained a data vault and the device which you failed to declare to police on request, that you were prohibited from doing by a sexual harm prevention order made by Chelmsford on 30th November 2015.

On 06/12/2019 at Harlow, without reasonable excuse, did something, namely was in possession of a secure vault (data encryption) and a secure internet browser which did not retain a record of internet history on mobile device, that you were prohibited from doing by a sexual harm prevention order made by Chelmsford Crown Court on 30th November 2015.

On 06/12/2019 at Harlow possessed an extreme pornographic image which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse with a live animal, namely 19 videos of dogs and horses, which were grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character and a reasonable person looking at the image would think that any such person or animal was real.

Joyce is required to return to Chelmsford Crown Court on January 6th, 2020.

He remains in custody.
