Harlow-based domestic abuse charity make appeal in light of Covid-19 pandemic

Covid-19 / Tue 24th Mar 2020 at 09:44am

YH has asked all organisations if there is any appeal they would like to make, now that people have been instructed to stay in their homes.

We have had a response from Safer Places.

Safer Places is an independent domestic abuse service with over 40 years of experience and has been recognised as delivering excellent services to adults and children affected by Domestic Abuse across Essex (including Southend and Thurrock) and Hertfordshire.

A spokesperson said: “All refuges in Harlow are in urgent need of disinfectant wipes and hand gels to provide to families living in our refuges and especially those where families share kitchens, bathrooms and other living spaces.

“If you can assist please email [email protected]”.
