Harlow Community Hub helpline offers support to most vulnerable residents
Harlow Council / Sun 29th Mar 2020 am31 10:09am
HARLOW Community Hub helpline offers phone support, reassurance and advice to the most vulnerable residents in Harlow – primarily those without internet access or support networks.
If you or someone you know could benefit from the hub, please call the helpline on 01279 927005 and request assistance.
The line is manned 9-5 and outside of these hours people are reminded they can call the Essex Welfare Service for support https://essexwelfareservice.org/ 0300 303 9988
Both of these lines and services are for vulnerable people who are staying at home and in need of support during the coronavirus period. They are for people who are unable to access support from either family or friends or from any local neighbourhood networks which may be in place.
Rainbow Services is working with Harlow Council and other groups including Community Embrace and Foodbank to provide emergency essential supplies to people who are unable to get these through other networks. Initial contact must be made through the numbers above in order to ensure that people are directed to the right support services to meet all of their needs at this time.
Rainbow Services and Harlow Volunteer Centre have been taking expressions of interest from local people wishing to volunteer to support others across Harlow and have had over 70 applications.
Anyone wishing to volunteer should complete the form at https://forms.gle/MSTEaxMihZCtS4kv7
Any local businesses which are able to offer capacity or resources can also contact us by completing the form https://forms.gle/PtMafzboLZiSGA298 .
Again, they have had some great offers from drivers to supplies.
If you are a voluntary group responding locally and you need additional support please also let themknow at https://forms.gle/xtmFQfYiS1eWvf81A
Rainbow Services ask that people are patient and understanding during this period as there is a high number of calls and people requiring support and this partnership is doing its best to respond within very challenging and unprecedented circumstances.
