Have social distancing rules gone at Tesco’s in Harlow?

A NUMBER of readers have contacted us about the Covid-19 rules surrounding shopping at Tesco’s in Harlow.
Until recently, there was a very strict system. When shoppers arrived there was a socially distant queue that weaved down the car park. Shoppers were only allowed in a few at a time. Once in, the shopping lanes operated on a one-way system. Finally, there was a queue system for the tills before you actually got to go near the tills.
Over the last week, it looks like all that has gone.
So we asked Tesco, if they had abandoned the social distancing arrangements.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “The safety of our customers and colleagues is our top priority and we are closely following Government guidance.
“We have reviewed the social distancing measures in our stores to ensure that they are in line with the latest guidance and that everyone can continue to maintain a safe distance.
“We ask that our customers continue to support us by following the measures in place.”
I hope so no new normal, or what other terms might be used. We are a free people and the virus is over, we should never have locked down the more this silliness continues the more the economy is destroyed
The evidence is that the more strict the lockdown, the less the spread of the disease. The population of Greece is approximately 11 million people, and there have been fewer than 200 deaths there, because drastic lockdown was enforced from early on.
