A BIG-hearted Harlow girl took on a marathon cycling challenge for charity.

Eight-year-old Rachel took part in the Prudential London Free Cycle last year, but due to the Covid pandemic this year’s ride was cancelled.

Instead Rachel, set herself the challenge of cycling the Flitch Way near Braintree to raise money for Heart 4 Harlow.

Rachel’s mother, Jess said: “Rachel wanted to support a local charity that helps make our town a better place. Rachel, along with my husband Dan, did their 24 mile ride on Saturday and have raised over £200.

I’m so proud of them both but especially for Rachel for always thinking of others and ways that she can support our community.
