COULD YOU GIVE THIS OLD AGE POOCH HIS FURRY-TAIL ENDING?

STAFF at Dogs Trust Essex are hoping National Grandparents Day on Sunday (4 October) will prove every dog really does have its day.

They are searching for a home for a very special Old Age Pooch (OAP), Kazen, who at the grand old age of 8 years old is still full of fun and has a real zest for life.

Lisa Cooper, Dogs Trust Essex Rehoming Centre Manager, says:

“It’s especially sad when older dogs come to us and Kazen really deserves to find his special someone.

“Sometimes older dogs spend more time with us than younger dogs but there are so many advantages to having an older dog. They often need less exercise but are as much fun, they’re used to living in a home and their personality is already shaped so new owners can really understand and appreciate the dog that they are welcoming into their family.”

The team at Dogs Trust Essex say Kazen is a big beautiful boy with a sensitive soul, who needs a new best friend who will accept him for who he is. Kazen enjoys going for walks and knows how to take treats gently from your hand. He can be unsure of new people so will need a patient family willing to put the time in to help him build his confidence. Although it may take a little while, getting to know Kazen will be well worth the wait, as he has a cheeky side that he shows off to those he trusts the most. Kazen would be best suited to a calm, quiet, adult only home with a maximum of 2 people and no visiting children or other pets.

“National Grandparents Day gives us the chance to put our Golden Oldies in the spotlight and we’re hoping this weekend sees Kazen’s special someone fall in love with Kazen and realise he is their forever four-legged friend.”
