Stewards Academy students go on to top universities
Education: Secondary / Thu 2nd Sep 2021 at 07:53am
FOLLOWING the last two years of the turbulent educational landscape, Stewards Academy was delighted to hear of some of the further education successes of their 2018 and 2019 cohorts; many of whom are going on to university, further training in their chosen field and employment.
Some of their former pupils that achieved top GCSE grades with them have then gone on to receive top grades at A Level too.
Their chosen sixth forms have included the highly successful ones most local to them- Harlow College and St Marks, and those further afield such as Herts and Essex and TBSHS in Bishop’s Stortford.
They have alumni from the Class of 2018 reading Aeronautics and Astronautics at Southampton, Mathematics and Economics at Loughborough, and History at York to name a few.
Members of the Class of 2019 are also off to various parts of the country including one former pupil heading off to Oxford university to read Law.
Helen Ginger, Headteacher, said: “It is wonderful to hear all of the news from our former pupils and of their successes in their chosen fields. We value all pupils at Stewards and support them as they find their path to further education whether that be an academic or vocational route. The stories are an inspiration to our current pupils and those of the Class of 2021 as they embark on the next stage of their educations.
“We would love to hear from even more former Stewards pupil that would like to update us on their recent A Level, BTec, vocational or degree results. You can contact Mrs da Vighi (formally Miss Johnson/ DJ) at [email protected] to let us know your news.
“To all of our former pupils that are heading off to university, further training or starting in your careers we wish you the best of luck. It is amazing how quickly the time has flown since you left Stewards and our only regret is that we do not have a sixth form so you could have stayed with us!”
