Harlow holds Service of Remembrance at Netteswell Cross

History / Sun 14th Nov 2021 at 02:35pm

A SERVICE of Remembrance took place at Netteswell Cross in Harlow Town Park on Sunday morning.

The event was hosted by the Royal British Legion of Harlow and conducted by The Reverend Albert Watson in the presence of Rt Hon Robert Halfon MP. Chair of Harlow Council, Cllr Clive Souter, representatives of a number of ex-service associations, representatives of political parties, Essex Police and Fire Service, Harlow Scouts and Guides.

As importantly, hundreds of Harlow residents, of all ages, attended.

They all came to pay their respects. Many to remember all those who fought and died. Some for particular family members.

Film of the event is below.

Disappointed that there was no mention of Harlow Salvation Army Band playing the music and the Last Post this morning.
