Anyone surprised? After all it’s like a Xmas tradition in Harlow

Must be the same Christmas tradition as in Hackney. It happens everywhere, not just Harlow as some people think

The police have lost control of Harlow. What happened to 13-years of rule by the party of law and order? Any comment from Halfon?

This is so very sad! A young man lay in hospital with life changing injuries with his parents very worried and probably in need of support! My heart feels for the family and yet it is so common an argument ends in a knife being drawn and some poor soul getting injured or even loasing their life! I must say the law does not deal with knife crime strong enough as it happens time and time again! It was'nt long ago where a young man lost his life to an act of violence from one punch and the Police promissed never again will the Stow go through this violence yet here we are and over the past year how many knife crimes have happened in and around the Stow! TOO Many so please can our MP and Police get to grips with this and bring it to an end even if its a constant dispersal order just like the Police create for the car meets as they seem to get the full force of the law on them even if its just a sniff that a car meet is taking place!

My heart goes out to this kid and his parents. Our town is circling the drain, local politicians seem to care more about wars in Ukraine / Gaza, abstract concepts like Net Zero which make not difference except making us all poorer and getting one over the other party. Maybe our politicians should stop virtue signalling and squabbling and start getting the police on the streets on patrol it was much better when the police had beats and were not just reactive.

Little wonder when our weak and not fit for purpose courts dish out pointless sentences, https://www.yourharlow.com/2018/08/11/harlow-teenager-fined-20-for-twice-being-in-possession-of-knife/

Well people keep talking about tougher sentencing but you all fail to understand those kids coming out to kill or be killed. I say let them, who cares and those who got kids that age put a short leash

Was the victim one of “those kids” Jim? This could have happened to anyone on any cycle track in this town and it will continue to happen again and again I’m afraid.

Harlow needs a complete cleansing. Perhaps start off by identifying trouble makers / low-achievers at school and put in extra intervention.

What happened to anyone found in possession of a knife to be jailed? Believe this would discourage them if they know they will definitely be locked up no matter what age

This is what happens when Harlow is used as a dumping ground for other councils to offload their unwanted antisocial residents here, this government is useless years and years cut backs in every quarter of public services it’s no wonder crime is rife, was The Knife Angel worth all the publicity it received?? What difference has it really made???? Absolutely None!! Guns will be next!

The only person who can cleanse this town is a vigil anti group, the police are clearly not up to it.

It's the same everywhere,we worry to much about wars that don't affect us,we will soon have a labour government and things will get a whole lot worst.

So Hasty Lane after 14 years of Tory understanding and mismanagement it's Labours fault lol under Blair the country was a 100 times better than it is now and it will improve greatly if anyone gets in other than this lot

Dekhan. You say about other councils dumping residents here, what if this turns out to be a Harlow resident already? Surely you’ll look like the tool you already coming across to be.

It doesn't surprise me one bit. The overspill from London coming to Harlow and bringing there knife crime with them. And by the sound of it there's a lot more London low life's to come yet.

DEKHAN NOT GOT a clue yes it could well have been a Harlow resident but our town is now rife with the dregs of life dumped on Harlow by London Councils. Look at the situation they now have with Terminus House. In Edinburgh Way we have ex office blocks full of families and single people dumped on the town. The younger people run in packs and take what they want from whoever they want. I have teenage family members that refuse to go to or near the town centre especially once it gets dark. We need to stop any other councils dumping people on us and send back the ones identified as troublemakers and/or weapon carriers.

Bill,it was Blair that started mass immigration that has caused a lot of the problems we have today, it's been continued by tory government,to me they are all the same....they don't care about ordinary people.

National service for 2 years to anyone leaving school at 16 with no job or further education and maybe a year or 18mths for everybody to do between the age of 18 to 25. This will at least instill some instructions on how to live and be supporting our country. Rules to be followed and respect learnt. Just saying.
