Riverway is an industrial estate and the “flats” are converted office space. The police attend this site nearly every day, and not long ago it was marked on Google maps as “Harlow high security prison”, which has now rightfully been removed. I truly despair at the direction our society is going and do not see many people that interested in changing things. There seems to be plenty of talk about change, but we seem to have created a political/legal system where nothing can actually be done.

I just want to thank the police for the speedy way this was handled. Usually these sad situations involve people known to the person. I do not have the facts but the fact the person was arrested quickly is reassuring. I wish the lady involved a quick recovery and hope she finds justice. If only every crime was handled so quickly what a town this could be, hopefully lessons are being learned.

Bs bs... what on earth does your crass comment relate too? A woman being stabbed has nothing to do with the 'wokey lefty brigade'. Not only irrelevant but unpleasant.

Looking at the picture, there seem to 4/5 police vehicles at least inc the bike. Only 2 people seem to be involved in the stabbing, the perp and the victim. So why so many police in attendance for what seems to be a relatively simple case. I ask because getting a call out seems to be quite hard to do. What are they all doing? Is it collecting evidence to have a watertight case. Perhaps our judicial system needs reviewing so the proof can be less stringent, less time consuming freeing up police to be on the streets. Get rid of juries, have professional judges who have heard it all before from wrong doers. Of course, some innocents might be found guilty but they will just offset the times they haven't been caught. Bs Bs hope this is non woke enough for you (although personally I have no problem with woke).

Why so many police??? Hahahaha pathetic.. someone gets stabbed how do the police know it’s one person doing the stabbing? Could be gangs, could be a terror attack… JP get a life

I remember when riverway was a thriving industrial area with many large companies giving mass employment to many harlow residents. This story highlights the decline in Harlow with most of the companies gone and the void being filled by vulnerable people dumped into non residential areas by London councils often in a quest to gentrify their own areas. Shame on Harlow council. Same on Harlow councilors.

Harlow has enough low life without importing more from outside. Enough is enough.
