FOLLOWING last night’s hustings, kindly hosted by this publication, Labour is delighted to announce its 100 day pledge to residents of our town. This is our pledge of what we will have achieved within 100 days of taking office.

1. To get Harlow council’s finances back on track and tackle the £10.8m black hole in council finances that the Conservatives have left us. Under the last Labour administration council finances were strong and stable, protecting much loved council services for the medium and long term. The next Labour administration will do the same.
2. Deliver 100 new parking spaces across the town. We know from knocking on doors and talking to residents on the doorstep everyday that parking is a huge issue in our estates. Thats why the next Labour administration is committed to prioritise parking issues across our town. 100 in 100 days is just the start, we will continue to create more and more parking spaces year on year.
3. Introduce a new program expanding apprenticeship opportunities both in the council and in HTS, not only will this provide the town with the roles that it desperately needs but it will also give new skills and provide aspiration to our town’s next generation, building on the work started by our outgoing MP.

Harlow Labour are not just around at election time, we’ll continue to knock on doors and talk to residents after Thursday 2^nd of May, ensuring we are the party that listens to residents and acts on their priorities.
