Mental Health Awareness Week: The importance of YCT in Harlow

Charity / Thu 16th May 2024 at 09:35am

IN THIS Mental Health Awareness Week, we have been focussing on a number of key organisations that are helping to tackle the problems and challenges that are associated with mental health.

One of the really important organisations in Harlow is YCT.

YCT is a counselling and therapeutic support charity. They specialise in supporting children and young people aged 5 – 25 years, their families and the professionals who work with them.

YCT started out in 1988 serving the immediate local community around Harlow, however they have grown considerably, working from community venues and schools, academies, colleges, alternative education provisions and specialist schools across Essex, Hertfordshire and Greater London.

We spoke to Katy and Rebecca about their work and the challenges in 2024 and beyond.
